Bollywood megastar Shahrukh Khan sheds his dance clothes to play a man suffering from Asperger's syndrome, an extreme form of autism with a heart of gold and ingenuity for fixing things. After moving to San Francisco and marrying a beautiful wife, Khan seems to be on the track for the perfect American dream when the onslaught of 9/11 changes everything. Shah Rukh talks about Don 3.

Don 2 has been getting great audience reviews and Farhan Akhat too has spoken on how he may make a Don 3. Shah Rukh however revealed the filmmaker was not keen on making a sequel to Don 2.

"We were not sure. Farhan was like how many Dons will I continue making! But we were not keen on making Don 2 too! It happened as we loved Don. Likewise, Don 3 may happen you never know. We have kept a scene in Don 2 where there's a slight hint that is given about the sequel. Everyone seems to be liking the action in Don 2, so does Farhan" said Shah Rukh Khan.

Don 2, the need we say highly anticipated high octane Indian action film of 2011, entered the Top 10 UK Box Office on its opening day, December 21st, two days ahead of its worldwide release on the 23rd December 2011.

Released by Reliance Entertainment, Don 2 has garnered positive reviews from audiences and critics alike. Don 2 marks Shah Rukh Khan's best action film to date and sees Shahrukh experimenting with varied looks from debonair to dishevelled as he charms the heart of the audiences globally.

Farhan Akhtar sets a whole new benchmark in Indian filmmaking with this latest release, combining, state-of-the art technology, high-tech action sequences and the most gripping and stylish narrative to steal out of Indian cinema in recent years.

Don 2, the sequel to the 2006 remake of the Amitabh Bachchan classic, is a stylised action-thriller with a spectacular 3D and 2D experience. The film is injected with the infectious chemistry of Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra and also stars Boman Irani who returns to his earlier role as 'Vardhaan', and Om Puri, Lara Dutta and Kunal Kapoor who enter the sequel in new roles to add further twists and layers to the intelligently calculated plotline.

What's more, the film has opened to packed cinemas across India and the world with rave reviews. Renowned film critic Taran Adarsh gave 'Don 2' a 3.5/5 star rating and describes the film as:"The right package to woo the movie-going junta – SRK in top form, a stylishly crafted story, pulsating and invigorating action and stunts."

Nikhat Kazmi, a well-known Bollywood film critic also gave a smashing 4/5 star rating and quoted "Don 2 is a classic action/crime thriller that doesn't let go, even for a moment. More importantly, the plot has been finely crafted, with every twist and turn falling into place like a complicated albeit neat little jigsaw."

We here at BollySpice.com also gave the film a rave review with 4 stars saying, "All in all Don 2 is a smashing finale to an already interesting line up of films released this year. It's a slickly edited, edge of the seat, cool, sassy and well made product with a gripping plot to boot. Here's hoping they decide to make a third installment as there's definitely potential to explore more of Don's wicked antics, watch him outwit the good guys again and recite his by now (in)famous line 'Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi…'"

Don 2 is currently open in theaters worldwide!

Shah Rukh Khan will take a break for a couple of days close to New Year's.

Shah Rukh Khan has been working round the clock. When he is not shooting for a film, receiving an international honour, he is seen promoting his film across the globe and then promoting the brands that help him promote his films.

After getting positive reviews from Don 2, the superstar is relieved. He now wishes to take a break for a few days from the movies before he gets back to the grind.

At an event SRK revealed, "I have been working round the clock. Its time I shave my beard, cut my hair, spend time with the kids. I will be off to Dubai with family for 4-5 days, a short break. After which, I will be back to shoot for Yashji's romantic film. We might start the shoot by Jan 8th 2012."

The King is glad that most have liked Don 2. The handwork & fun of making it seems to be paying off said he.

While most girls prefer SRK in a romantic film, the superstar should know, the ladies thought he looked his sexiest best in Don 2.

Shahrukh Khan returns as unstoppable criminal Don in "Don 2" (Photo: Reliance Entertainment)

What do you get when you add "King of Bollywood" Shahrukh Khan, witty writing, stylized action and a power-packed two and a half hours of entertainment? Farhan Akhtar's "Don 2″.

For every ten Bollywood movies that make you want to roll your eyes in despair, you can rest easy knowing that the latest installment in the Don franchise will remind you of why you love Hindi cinema.

The sequel kicks off five years from where the previous film ended, with Don successfully deceiving the police, the mob, and audiences around the world. This time, the villainous hero sets his sights on the European cartel and billionaire status by way of European currency plate theft. Taking us across Thailand, Switzerland, and Germany, and with Don's "jungli billi" Roma (Priyanka Chopra) hot on his trail, what ensues is essentially one sexy game of cat and mouse. This Don is bigger and better, not to mention sleeker and fiercer. Not only have the characters upped the ante, but so have the filmmaker and his actors.

The most alluring factor is the action–the sequences are riveting and choreographed to the highest caliber. These are stunts and chase sequences that could rival some of the best of Hollywood–a rare feat for an Indian film. The highly anticipated car chase and stunt where we see Don fall from a high-rise building live up to the hype. Though there can be similarities drawn to the Mission Impossible and James Bond series, "Don 2″ manages to keep its uniqueness and integrity in tact by keeping its own spin on things. The last half hour boasts of some of the better Indian cinema in recent times. The action is gripping, engaging and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's evident that both Khan and Chopra have gone through vigorous action training.

Kudos to writers Farhan Akhtar, Ameet Mehta and Amrish Shah for taking "Don 2″ to such new and unchartered territory. There are some jaw-dropping twists but, most importantly, Don's trademark one-liners meet every expectation. The dialogue is witty and sarcastic but always charming. Akhtar's direction and execution leave you wondering why this man doesn't make films more often, but judging by what's on display, he is clearly a man of quality versus quantity.

SRK who is on his maiden visit to the city in his 20 year film career, said his move 'Asoka' was shot in Bihar "to some extent". "At that time I had contacted people in the government here several times but personally I am here for the first time," he said. Overwhelmed by the response of fans, Shah Rukh said, "I did not know at all that people of Bihar love me so much and I would get such a huge response here... I now feel that I should move across the country and world to know how much love and affection I enjoy from the public." He wanted fans to recognise his love for work and urged them to return their love "in the same fashion" by watching 'Don 2'. He regretted that he could not reach here earlier on December 13 "but I am at present overwhelmed by the people's reponse and love." The actor said that promotion of films was required as people who buy tickets at higher rates should get value for their money. SRK said, "The film took two years to be completed as Farhan wanted a movie based on a good story." No amount of promotion of a movie would be handy unless the film was based on a good story. "Unless the movie watchers are satisfied it won't be a blockbuster," he said. When asked who would he prefer if given a choice between the two other superstar Khans, Aamir and Salman, SRK said, "I don't believe in it. If I get any offer to work with them, I will consider it."

'Bad' Shah of Bollywood cancels Dubai premiere of 'Don 2', chooses to promote the movie in India

Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar will not keep their date with Dubai for the 'Don 2' premiere this coming Thursday, Emirates 24|7 has learnt.

Even though Dubai rolled out the red carpet for one of the most sought-after Bollywood stars, Shah Rukh Khan, and his 'Don 2' team in the Dubai International Film Festival just a couple of weeks ago, the 'Bad' Shah of Bollywood, as Shah Rukh Khan has come to be known in the industry for his narcissism, has chosen to promote the movie among the audience of the Hindi belt states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh instead of the international audience.

King Khan disappointed Dubai despite the crew eager to visit the emirate for the promotion. Sources from the crew told Emirates 24|7, "Don 2 team wanted to travel to Dubai for the premiere on Thursday. But they rescheduled it with a Patna visit."

So, SRK canned his Dubai 'Don 2' premiere and the cast has to stay back in India and promote the movie at home. "Not that they don't want to visit Dubai – it's just that they had recently been to Dubai and so felt that they cannot disappoint their Patna fans," the crew member added as an afterthought. Sure.

Nevertheless, earlier, it was fans in the eastern Indian city of Patna that were disappointed when SRK cancelled his plan to visit the city. Shah Rukh also reached out to his fans through Twitter: "Was super excited with my first ever visit to Patna, but district authorities said some security issue...Will come some other time. Damn!!!"

Now, however, Patna fans have a reason to feel happy. Shah Rukh kept his word and chose Patna over Dubai. He will visit the city on Thursday for the promotional event.

The team is currently touring New Delhi. SRK's 'Don 2' 10-city promotional tour of India ends in Patna.

The 'Don 2' team started their multi-city promotion tour in non-metropolitan centers in India on Tuesday and visited cities like Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.

Don 2 is directed by Farhan Akhtar, who also helmed the first installment Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006), a box-office hit and a remake the 1978 Hindi cult classic Don, starring Amitabh Bachchan.

"Learnt yesterday that Don 2 will release in 41 countries worldwide. Wow!! I guess that's the number of countries now out to catch him!!," Farhan wrote on twitter.

'Don 2' will release in UK two days before its December 23 opening in India and the rest of the world.

"Feel so proud to see the extent to which interest in Hindi movies has grown.. Thanks to you.. the Fans (pat yourself on back moment)," Farhan said.

The film is set to release on 23 December, in both 2D and 3D formats and will also be available in Tamil and Telugu.

PATNA: The Don will be here, finally. And a strong posse of police is ready to protect him. Keeping his word, Shahrukh Khan is arriving here on Thursday for a few hours to promote his film Don 2, which will hit the cinema halls across the country on Friday.

The organizers this time have taken no risk and sought formal permission from the administration. On December 13, when SRK planned his maiden visit to Patna, it could not materialize due to some 'controversies' and 'misunderstanding' between the organizers and the administration. The cancellation of the visit led to some violence as the public, gathered to see the superstar, went berserk and indulged in stone pelting.

King Khan was sorry over the series of events and said sorry to his fans through Twitter and TV interviews and promised to come before the film's release. The SRK will be accompanied by director Farhan Akhtar.

The Badshah of Bollywood left everyone drooling as he visited the Dailybhaskar.com office on Sunday, along with producer Ritesh Sidhwani. King Khan indulged in a tell all of sorts, as he spoke at great length about everything that people have ever wanted to know about the star and his life. The superstar also connected with 8 centres of Dainik Bhaskar all across India via video conferencing and shared his work and life.

An excerpt from the candid chit-chat:

His favourite dialogues from Don 2
SRK said that all the dialogues from the movie were special, but he didn't forget to mention the two that are closest to his heart- "Don ke dushman ki sabse badi galti yeh hai ki woh Don ka dushman hai" and "Don ke dushman jab apni pehli chaal chalte hai toh tab Don uski aakhri chaal chal chuka hota hai."

The don of Mannat
When probed about who is the don of Mannat (SRK's abode), Shah Rukh was all smiles and said, "I might be playing a don in the movie, but my son Aryan is the real don of my house. Earlier, Gauri used to be the don, but Aryan has replaced her and now, he's the reigning don of my home."

His dream role
"I don't have a dream role as such. When I entered the industry, I wished for Bond like roles, but that wish doesn't exist anymore. Now, I am only looking forward to doing different kinds of characters," exclaimed the actor.

On working in Hollywood
The actor, who's won international acclaim and fans worldwide, is not dying to work in Hollywood and this is what he had to say about the same, "I haven't received any offer from Hollywood as yet and frankly speaking, I only wish to make a movie that the world would see and rave about."

Bodyguard is Tapori Chaap
Speaking on the ever-changing taste of the Indian audience, SRK said, "The viewers have matured. One can say that their taste has evolved. These days, they like to watch a Delhi Belly, a Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and a 'tapori chaap' Bodygaurd too."

Bobble-head toys of SRK are being released in market as Don Merchandise.

Yea, you read it right but don't go on to think something wrong. Shah Rukh Khan turns toy boy and in literal sense. For any and every Shah Rukh fan who wanted to have a piece of him, your dreams have just come true.

When it comes to a Shah Rukh Khan film, the marketing has to be the best in the business. So is the case with his upcoming release Don 2 which has become the talk of the town. And the makers have gone ahead to release a toy version of the Don as a merchandise of the film. While movie-merchandise is a popular idea overseas, SRK seems to be the first Bollywood hero to be turned into a toy.

The toy is a miniature of Shah Rukh Khan as a bobble-head in his Don avatar. The styling, hairdo and attitude complements the film and is the perfect way to take your Shah Rukh Khan home.

He began his career playing negative, angst-ridden characters but, 20 years into his career, Shahrukh Khan says it's the "irredeemable" quality of playing a character like Don that excites him today. In an exclusive conversation with Divanee.com, Khan discussed how Don is a significant departure from the villainous characters that made him famous in films such as "Darr" and "Baazigar". He also offered his take on what makes Don the first Hindi film villain the audience truly roots for:

"Earlier I did more psychopathic, sociopath roles. With Don, you're not supposed to like him, but you do. As an actor, it's so enticing, and I think it's that enticement which I wanted to play into. There's an ideology with Don that he's always in full control of his actions, and therefore there's a lot of distance in the way I play Don vs. the way I played 'I Love You K-K-K-Kiran' (referring to his trademark negative turn in Yash Chopra's "Darr") or "Baazigar". They had reasons for their angst or for being disturbed. But Don–this guy is just bad. He's evil. There's a great line I like in the first Don: The police inspector tells Don his mother would have shot him with her own hands if she were alive today, and Don responds, 'Mr. Malik, aap meri Maa ko nahin jaante the' ('Mr. Malik, you didn't know my mother')."

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who was scheduled to visit Bihar's capital city on Tuesday, was unable to reach here due to bad weather conditions. King Khan was scheduled to arrive at the airport on Tuesday morning and promote his movie in Patna.

Khan's airplane could not be allowed to land at Patna Airport due to poor weather conditions in the region.

Khan's fans gathered at Patliputra Colony were highly disappointed at the turn of events and they turned violent. The fans began hurling stones at the police and refused to leave the venue. Police were forced to lathi charge at the mob to maintain law and order at the venue. Only after additional force arrived, were they able to establish peace.

The fans were unhappy over the fact they had to return without seeing a glimpse of their favourite Bollywood star. SRK has never been to the city before.

Meanwhile, sources said the district administration did not have any knowledge of the actor's arrival and bad weather conditions further added to the reasons for the authorities to refuse permission for Khan's aircraft to land at Patna. Sources said the organisers of the programme may be charged for not informing Patna administration.

After " RA.One", Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Don 2: The King is Back" is set to be turned into a video game and director Farhan Akhtar says this would allow fans a personal dose of action and adventure.

"I felt that this could be an interesting yet fun way to let people have their personal dose of action and adventure," Farhan said in a statement.

Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment has collaborated with Gameshastra, one of the largest game service companies in the country, to launch a console game.

The firm is developing a third-person action adventure console game where a players gets to play Shah Rukh and does actions similar to those done by Don in the movie.

There will also be a social game called "Don - The Social Mobsters Game", which will be launched on the Facebook and is being developed by Mango Games.

The game will be available on Android, iOS, and PSN for PS3 platforms. While the game on Android and iOS will be released along with the movie, the console version of the game will be released in March next year.

"This is the first time a game is based on an Indian film that will be launched on four platforms. When I saw the creative of the game, I was very excited because the visuals were as real as the characters in the film. For an iconic character like Don, I think this was the best way to keep the hysteria going amongst his fans," said Ritesh Sidhwani, producer of " Don 2".

Mohan Raju, director and founder of Gameshastra, said: "We are proud to be associated with Excel and their 'Don' franchise and the success of this title will mark the beginning of many more joint endeavours with major studios in India."

International stunt director Wolfgang Stegemann trained Khan in some daring fight sequences and created a special fight style for him in Don 2

Shah Rukh Khan has Pathani blood coursing through his veins. And for the first time, he is bringing that side of him to the fore with some hard-hitting action sequences in Don 2. Khan trained with international stunt and fight director Wolfgang Stegemann, who has worked in films like Inglourious Basterds and Valkyrie, and is known for his daring stunts and stylised action scenes. Wolfgang, who also plays a negative character called Karl in the film, created a special fight style for SRK. "These are powerful and effective to knock off Don's enemies. I had to analyse Mr Khan's motions and find the perfect fight style for him. It is a mix between martial arts, Krav Maga, Wing Chun and Trapping, which has not been practised in Bollywood. It helped him endure long settings of fights together," he says.

Adds Farhan Akhtar, the director of the film, "There is a lot of hard-hitting, edgy and gritty action in Don 2. We evolved the fighting styles we had established for Roma and Vardhaan in Don for the sequel. Throw into that an amazing car chase and a lot of things blowing up and it was like directing action scenes I had fantasised about growing up."

The sequences were tough, but SRK had a blast doing the stunts himself. He says, "This time around, Don is lean, mean, sexy, scheming and menacing. He does all the planning and scheming on his own, without the help of his gang, as this time he doesn't trust anyone."

Shah Rukh got the moves right rather quickly. As producer Ritesh Sidhwani says, "Action is usually associated with a muscular build, but the action scenes in this film demanded a lean body inspired by Bruce Lee's films. And though performing stunts requires rigorous training, Shah Rukh got a hang of the stunts in no time." He adds, "The action is authentic, like the ones in films like The Bourne Ultimatum or the James Bond series. It is not exaggerated or larger than life."

Don 2 releases on December 23.

Here's how he and the cast avoided being hypnotised by prisoners during the shoot

With long tresses, an overgrown stubble and a rugged yet cool demanour, Shah Rukh Khan looks every inch a don. The flaming orange overalls add to the mood, as he packs punches with prison inmates in a fearless, muddy look. And this is no ordinary prison; the scene Don 2 - The Chase was shot in a real prison in Malaysia!

Director Farhan Akhtar is still reeling from the "strange and eerie silence" of the jail. The highly anticipated film is the first one to be shot in Malacca prison, and a complete section of the prison block was made available for the shoot. About 700 prisoners were air-lifted and moved to another cell to accommodate the filming.

And the Don's junglee billi Roma - aka Priyanka Chopra in a cop's role - was anxious to "break the rules". One theory doing the rounds was that the prisoners could hypnotise people, hence the crew was told to avoid making eye contact with them. PC wanted to find out if this was true, but had to adhere by the rules. "Even though we never came in contact with the inmates, our movements inside the prison were restricted. It was like being locked up!" adds the leading lady.

"The prisoners would stand facing the wall whenever we drove from one cell block to another. Whenever any prisoner tried to turn and look at us from the corner of their eye, they were screamed at," says Boman Irani, who plays a pivotal role in the film. With Shah Rukh's strong fan base among the Malays and him being conferred the prestigious Malaysian title of Datuk (akin to a British knighthood), it became easy to get permission to shoot in Malacca. But a lot of security measures were taken to facilitate it. Once the crew entered the premises in the morning, they could leave only when the shoot was over and everyone had to exit together. Besides that, actors and crew members were not allowed to carry their cellphones or laptops into the prison.

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Don 2 - The Chase Continues is slated to release on December 23.
